I have to say that i'm in mac os monterey beta 6 now, but i faced this problems also without the beta. My external monitor is just an hp 22f (1920x1080) and ALWAYS, i see it not really good, it flickr if i look well at it. But in September, also if colder.also when i wake my mac from sleep, it is already using the fan! Don't know why, but it is hotter on bottom right side, near trackpad. Previous month was so hot, compared to September.and in August i've never seen my fan work! I used to make it work by myself to understand if it was broken or not.and it was not. Only one time the macbook reached 0%, still dont know how since that day it was 70% and i haven't used it at all that day (it was in standby mode). I use as often as possible the charger, in 5 months, i have 30 cycle on battery and 100% status of battery, but in a week or two of hard work and travel i used it without charger (and without external ssd or anything external), and now, im at 40 cycle, but 97% battery health status.

My external ssd (wd my passport) often is not recognized by macbook, it is formatted in two parts: one for time machine, one to keep file, and the backup partition is the one that sometimes is not recognized. If i plug out and in again, i can see the hdmi switch recognize the monitor, but still mot signal to the monitor, i have to reboot my mac in order to make it work again I use my mac always with charger, usb c hub and an external ssd, since a week happen that if my macbook is on for hours, after standby it does not recognize my external monitor anymore. On windows, i can easily navigate throught folders, in mac os if i open a folder, how can navigate throught the folders above the one i opened? I always see the folder i open as 'top level folder'
